HF ★ 21 · Kling Team, Dong Chen, Jialu Chen… · HF Mirror

The current bottleneck of video generation has shifted from rendering to semantic control. This paper summarizes the multimodal understanding experience accumulated during the iteration of Kling: it opens up the full link of data-condition-alignment-evaluation, develops the unified multimodal base Kling-MLLM to adapt to each downstream module, and optimizes the whole process through high-density reference subtitles, prompt enhancement, perception-first text encoder, dual reward model, and targeted automatic evaluation, providing practical guidance for the implementation of controllable video generation.

RoboColosseum: Evaluating Physical Intelligence at Scale In-The-Wild

HF ★ 20 · Tan Sang Nguyen, Yi Ru Wang, Shailesh Shailesh… · HF Mirror

This paper introduces the RoboColosseum distributed real-robot evaluation framework, which unifies policy scheduling and evaluation protocols, and can connect scattered robot nodes in multiple environments to carry out large-scale physical intelligence evaluation. After testing the performance of 8 models across 4 robot morphologies, it is found that the performance of cutting-edge general agents is close to that of specialized vision-language-action models, the optimal fine-tuning strategies for different morphologies vary greatly, the consistency of performance rankings across morphologies is low, and performance on open tracks is difficult to predict post-fine-tuning. This framework can more comprehensively reflect the generalization and adaptation capabilities of robot policies.

MoviEdit: Long-form Multi-Shot Video Editing Made Easy

HF ★ 14 · Suhyeon Lee, Zhengang Li, Soo Ye Kim… · HF Mirror

Aiming at the difficulty of maintaining editing consistency across scenes and perspectives for long-form multi-shot video editing, the team launched the MoviEdit end-to-end editing framework: an automatic data generation pipeline is built to obtain 87,000 pairs of unlabeled multi-shot editing datasets, a cascaded bidirectional autoregressive architecture is adopted, which first generates a globally consistent draft in the compression domain and then refines it, and it is also equipped with an exclusive evaluation benchmark. Experiments show that its performance far exceeds that of existing open-source models, and is on par with the cutting-edge level in the industry.

SpecPilot: Autonomous Algorithm Discovery and Systems Optimization for Speculative Decoding

HF ★ 11 · Kunjun Li, Wenhao Chai, Yihao Liang… · HF Mirror

Aiming at the three major problems that existing parallel speculative decoding has not reached the theoretical speedup upper limit: redundant weight reading for single requests, high batch verification overhead, and no general optimization for all scenarios, this paper proposes the autonomous optimization framework SpecPilot: it locates bottlenecks through cost models, explores solutions in parallel with multiple agents, ensures correctness through output verification, and precipitates effective mechanisms through structured memory. Without accuracy loss, the speedup ratio compared to autoregressive decoding for single request and batch scenarios is increased from 4.46x and 1.94x to 10.87x and 3.93x respectively.

Axion 1.0: Open Agent Foundation Models, Simplified

HF ★ 9 · Yuqi Jia, Yunjie Tian, Jiayu Zheng… · HF Mirror

This paper launches the fully open-source agent base model Axion 1.0, which only adopts a three-stage minimalist training process: two rounds of lightweight supervised fine-tuning to achieve self-consistent reasoning and tool calling capabilities respectively, followed by reinforcement learning to improve long-range reasoning performance, eliminating the need for complex training steps such as DPO. Its performance is on par with leading commercial agent models, and it fully opens up all resources of the training pipeline, providing a reproducible and concise path for the development of open-source agents.

Community detection in complex networks via node similarity, graph representation learning, and hierarchical clustering

{\L}ukasz Brzozowski, Grzegorz Siudem, Marek Gagolewski

Aiming at the problem of community detection in complex networks, this paper proposes 3 general hierarchical frameworks, which are compatible with multiple types of link clustering, node similarity matrices and graph representation learning models. Verified by 364 groups of module comparisons, the optimal solution has performance comparable to Leiden and Louvain algorithms, outputs nested partitions almost losslessly to adapt to scenarios where the number of communities is unknown, has higher accuracy for small multi-community networks, is only limited by complexity, and is suitable for networks with less than 10,000 nodes on a single machine.

Harness Engineering for Self-Improvement

Lilian Weng

This paper focuses on self-improvement engineering research, sorting out the evolution of the Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) concept: In 1965, I.J. Good first proposed the idea of an ultra-intelligent machine, which refers to a machine that can surpass all human intellectual activities and independently design better system iterations. In 2008, Eliezer Yudkowsky clarified that the core of RSI is a feedback loop: AI optimizes its own cognitive mechanism based on existing intelligence. Current AI implementation of RSI can be achieved through two paths: directly rewriting weights and optimizing training pipelines.
