Wave Forcing: Towards Speed-of-Light Streaming Video Generation

HF ★ 27 · Yijie Jin, Yuxuan Liu, Jiajun Xu… · HF Mirror

To address the low efficiency, long-term quality degradation, and camera drift issues of existing chunked autoregressive long video generation, this paper proposes the Wave Forcing real-time streaming video generation framework: it designs chunked causal attention, three-stage adaptive training, and Wave parallel runtime, achieving 1 chunk of video output per forward pass after pipeline filling. Tests on 8 H200 GPUs show an end-to-end frame rate of 134.8, 7 times that of a single card, with parallel throughput up to 153% higher than the baseline, and higher video dynamicity while maintaining equivalent quality.

Video Generation Meets Agent Harness: Agentic Video Generation, Agentic World Modeling and Recursive Self-Improvement

HF ★ 24 · Liaoyuan Fan, Yuhao Zheng, Dongxing Mao… · HF Mirror

This paper focuses on the intersection of agent paradigms and video technology, and proposes an executable agent control layer as the core carrier to implement three lines of research: first, coordinate the full workflow including scripts and storyboards to realize controllable and coherent agentic video generation; second, combine game engines and other tools to maintain world state and build an interactive agentic world model; third, support full-link recursive self-optimization of video models. Finally, it sorts out core capability requirements and implementation challenges.

Democratizing Robot-Use Agents: A Unified Harness with Open Models

HF ★ 19 · Jiarui Yuan, Yuxin Zuo, Xiaoyu Huang… · HF Mirror

Robot-Use Agents (RUA) with outstanding zero-shot manipulation performance generally rely on cutting-edge closed-source models, which is not conducive to subsequent training research. The team launched uni-robot-agent, a unified framework compatible with open-weight models and supporting training: the off-the-shelf Qwen3.8-Flash-Next achieves a RoboDojo score of 31.39 without privileged input, outperforming the corresponding version of GPT-6 and most baselines, with excellent performance on 19 real-world tasks. It also clarifies the four core capabilities that RUA needs to develop collaboratively.

From Fragmentation to Fusion: A Survey and Roadmap for Omnimodal Embeddings

HF ★ 16 · Ziyin Zhang, Yuyu Guo, Ying Zhang… · HF Mirror

This survey of omnimodal embeddings addresses the current fragmentation of embedding research across different modalities, where communities develop independently and lack interoperability. It points out that contrastive learning, Transformer architecture and other technologies are driving the gradual convergence of multimodal embedding research, and proposes a three-level progressive capability framework of coverage, comparability, and compositionality, corresponding to three unification paths: transformation, alignment, and joint embedding. This is the first cross-domain review and development roadmap for omnimodal embedding research.

NorthCUA Technical Report: Turbocharging Computer-Use Agents through Experience at Scale

HF ★ 14 · Chaoyun Zhang, Bingxuan Li, Pinxue Guo… · HF Mirror

This report introduces the NorthCUA system for accelerating the iteration of computer-use agents, which adopts a core experience flywheel architecture: it collects long-cycle interactive decision-making data through the execution framework, precipitates verified trajectories through recursive self-optimization, and forms an iterative closed loop combined with phased training and desktop-web joint reinforcement learning. Its open-source Nano/Mini/Pro series achieves open-source SOTA in GUI interaction, desktop execution, and web operation tasks, and a low-latency version is also available to provide a quality-latency trade-off solution, which can be used as a general base for complex software operation agents.

OpenAI

Scaling Git at OpenAI

OpenAI

After the launch of Codex, code generation efficiency increased sharply, and the original Git architecture could not meet the needs of ultra-large-scale development collaboration. To address this pain point, OpenAI developed Pando, a backend system compatible with the native Git protocol. The system does not require developers to change their existing Git usage habits, and can support ultra-high concurrency collaboration and large codebase management empowered by AI, solving the performance bottleneck of Git under extreme development scale and adapting to the R&D rhythm of the AI era.

Introducing the Grid Protectors Program

OpenAI

OpenAI has launched the “Grid Protectors Program”, which will cooperate with various electric utility institutions to adapt and optimize for the electricity demand of large-scale AI computing parks in the future. On the one hand, it ensures the reliability of the overall operation of the power grid, and on the other hand, it avoids the high electricity demand of computing clusters from pushing up residential electricity costs, protecting the electricity rights and interests of ordinary power consumers.

Lil’Log

Harness Engineering for Self-Improvement

Lilian Weng

This paper sorts out the development context of Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI): the concept was proposed by I.J. Good in 1965, referring to the “superintelligent machine” that can surpass all human intellectual activities and can independently design better systems to achieve iteration. In 2008, Yudkowsky clarified that its core is the feedback loop where AI optimizes its own cognitive mechanism relying on existing intelligence. The implementation paths in modern AI scenarios include directly rewriting its own weights and optimizing training pipelines.
