StreamVibe: Proactive Video Agents for Evolving User Intent

HF ★ 42 · Chengzhi Liu, Yuxiang Lai, Yuzhe Yang… · HF Mirror

Addressing the limitations of existing vision-language models that struggle to capture implicit, dynamic user intents and cannot adapt to real-time interactions, this research releases the StreamVibe interaction benchmark covering 3 types of user intents with a total of 89,100 samples, and proposes a streaming active interaction solution with a hierarchical memory mechanism. Its response quality is 10.7% higher than the baseline, and the active interaction performance increases by another 12.3% when paired with the memory component. The study also verifies the performance shortcomings of existing active models in complex intent scenarios.

WorldCast: World-Consistent Character Video Generation with Large-Angle Camera Control

HF ★ 37 · Lei Cao, Yu Liu, Wenhua Liao… · HF Mirror

Targeting the problems of existing character video generation methods that struggle to adapt to large-angle camera movements, and are prone to character geometric distortion, appearance degradation, and identity drift, this paper first constructs CLACT, a large-scale character dataset for large-angle camera trajectories, and then proposes the WorldCast framework: it provides geometric guidance through 3D point clouds, paired with geometrically aligned memory attention to complete perspective information, enabling accurate tracking under large-angle camera movements while stably retaining the geometric, appearance, and identity characteristics of the character.

Trial by Trace: Benchmarking AI Agent Harnesses for Reliability and Failure Attribution

HF ★ 23 · Zhiyong Cao, Hengjie Zhu, Yongxin Wang… · HF Mirror

Addressing the gap that existing LLM agent benchmarks mostly focus on models and overall performance, and lack special evaluation of the supporting frameworks for agent operation, this research launches the TraceTrial-Bench benchmark, covering 7 reliability dimensions, 95 expert tasks, and supporting modules such as trajectory tracking and two-layer evaluation. Tests on 4 frameworks show scores ranging from 59.8% to 72.0%, and 31.1% of successfully completed task runs actually have framework defects, providing an auditable evaluation basis for framework optimization.

World-in-Context: Interactive Video World Modeling with In-Context Conditioning

HF ★ 14 · Harold Haodong Chen, Rui Peng, Rongjin Guo… · HF Mirror

Targeting the problems of existing interactive video world models: vague perspective control, confusion between actions and camera movements, and fragmented control paths, this paper proposes the World-in-Context framework: through an in-context conditioning mechanism, three types of control are unified into explicit tokens and incorporated into the shared self-attention space, supplemented by interactive transmission RoPE to ensure temporal continuity. Its 5B parameter version matches the navigation performance of the 22B baseline, with a perspective switching success rate of 93.8%, far exceeding models of the same scale, and also has data efficiency advantages.

Collaborative In-Context Learning for Indoor Radio Map Estimation

Yuanzhe Peng, Jie Xu

Addressing the pain points of existing supervised methods for indoor radio map estimation that require a large number of annotations and cannot centralize scenario privacy data, this study models it as a collaborative in-context learning problem for the first time, and proposes the Poly-Ripple framework: relying on a large autoregressive vision model, it models the causality of wireless propagation in ripple order, introduces importance-aware aggregation of cross-device knowledge, and requires no fine-tuning. Public benchmark tests show its performance is better than similar baselines, consistent with theoretical analysis.

The Path to NDE 4.0: A Review of Algorithms, Techniques, and Strategies for Autonomous Inspection

Ashiqur Rahmana, Venkata Devesh Reddy Seethi, Zachary Kral…

This review sorts out the development trajectory of Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) from four dimensions: algorithms, technologies, applications, and research objectives, clarifying that the current industry takes ultrasonic and visual inspection as core technologies, and deep learning and generative models have become the mainstream solutions for automatic defect recognition. Targeting implementation bottlenecks such as the lack of standardized public datasets and AI black boxes, it points out that future efforts need to focus on interpretable AI and digital twin standards, to promote the integration of intelligent autonomous inspection into asset lifecycle management.

Does LeWorldModel Preserve Local Action Geometry?

Vasil Vasilev, Siddharth Nayak

This study verifies the ability of the pre-trained LeWorldModel (LeWM) to preserve local action geometry. By matching simulator and model responses, action sensitivity is measured using Gram matrices under two types of control tasks and three perturbation scales. The results show that under small perturbations, the deviation between the model’s most sensitive action direction and the real environment is 36°~42°, and the deviation decreases significantly when the perturbation is amplified. LeWM has higher errors at small scales, so action sensitivity needs to be evaluated by scale, and its impact on control remains to be explored.

Greptile takes bug detection beyond code review with GPT-6 Astra

OpenAI

This article introduces the technical upgrade path of the code bug detection tool Greptile: breaking through the capability boundaries of traditional code review, GPT-6 Astra is used to cover defect detection in users’ full workflow scenarios, paired with the Daybreak module to enhance the security of the entire detection link, while invoking Codex capabilities to proactively fix potential problems, which can greatly reduce the rework rate in the development stage, achieving triple optimization of detection efficiency, security compliance, and development cost.

Working with academic communities to build scientific understanding

OpenAI

OpenAI recently released the research outputs of its AI models in three fundamental frontier fields to the academic community: related research results on the Kakeya conjecture in mathematics, the exponential time hypothesis in theoretical computer science, and quantum chromodynamics in physics. This initiative aims to support researchers in verifying the credibility of relevant results, and also to expand research based on existing conclusions, exploring collaborative paths for AI-assisted basic scientific research.

Anthropic News

Announcements

Anthropic

This announcement is the official positioning statement of AI security R&D enterprise Anthropic. The company focuses on technical research and implementation practice in the field of AI security, with core development goals of building AI systems with three core attributes: high reliability, interpretability, and controllability. It follows a security-first technical route, explores an AI development path that combines both performance and controllability, and provides a security-oriented technical reference paradigm for the industry.

Investing in the public benefit

Anthropic

AI company Anthropic announced its public benefit investment arrangement: it will inject part of the company’s shares into the newly established “Anthropic Public Benefit Fund”. The fund adopts a dynamic shareholding mechanism, which will increase its shareholding ratio synchronously as the company’s operating scale expands and valuation increases, thus binding corporate development with public benefits and ensuring that more growth dividends are tilted towards the public sector.

Beyond tree cover: mapping the world’s forest types

Google DeepMind

This study breaks through the limitation of traditional research that only counts tree cover, and completes the world’s first fine-grained forest type mapping with 10-meter resolution, clarifying the forest category of all 10-meter precision land patches around the world one by one. This achievement fills the gap in high-resolution global forest type classification, and can provide high-precision data support for forest carbon sink accounting, biodiversity protection, and forestry policy formulation.

Harness Engineering for Self-Improvement

Lilian Weng

This article sorts out the research context of Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI): in 1965, scholar Irving John Good first proposed the concept of “ultraintelligent machine”, that is, an agent that can surpass all human intellectual activities and design better systems by itself to achieve self-iteration; in 2008, Eliezer Yudkowsky clarified that RSI is a feedback loop where AI uses its existing intelligence to optimize its own cognitive architecture. For contemporary AI, this type of feedback can be manifested as directly rewriting its own weights or optimizing the training process.
