UserArena: Benchmarking Interactive User Simulation for Long-Horizon Shopping Agents

HF ★ 19 · Jujia Zhao, Jiakai Tang, Jing Yu… · HF Mirror

To address the pain point that long-horizon intelligent recommendation agents for e-commerce lack real interaction evaluation benchmarks and are hard to align with online A/B test results, this paper proposes the UserArena interaction benchmark, which covers 64,700 real conversation trajectories from 11,000 users, includes over 560,000 products and 13 types of interaction actions, and supports 5-level full-link offline evaluation. The paper also proposes the on-policy trajectory distillation method OPTD, which improves the fidelity of long-interaction simulation relying on trajectory-level intent. Experiments show it performs best on this benchmark and is closest to the actual effect of online policies.

RSIHub: A Composable Framework for Agent-Evolution Methods

HF ★ 17 · Zimu Wang, Xiaobo Wang, Siyu Ye… · HF Mirror

To address the pain point of repeated development of experimental bases for agent evolution methods, this paper proposes the composable open-source framework RSIHub: it adopts a recipe mechanism of reusable operators + variable resource declarations, with built-in general capabilities including execution, evaluation, and traceability. Researchers can adapt to various evolution strategies without modifying the core code. Evaluations show that evolution methods built on this framework improve pass@1 by up to 13.5 percentage points, but method rankings vary by scenario, and optimization benefits cannot always be transferred across tasks.

RynnUnify: Towards Unified Embodied Brain

HF ★ 8 · Minghao Zhu, Bohan Hou, Kun Xiang… · HF Mirror

This paper proposes RynnUnify, a 16B-parameter unified embodied model. Relying on interleaved video-language reasoning, it has both embodied understanding and long-sequence visual planning capabilities, paired with extended RL agent capabilities, world action extensions adapted for robot control, and an exclusive evaluation benchmark. Experiments show its performance on multiple embodied tasks is significantly better than existing baselines, and it can serve as a general foundation for embodied intelligence, taking a step toward the goal of a unified embodied brain.

Omni-Woodpecker: Hallucination Correction via Evidence-Prior Rebalancing for Omni LLMs

HF ★ 7 · Zijian Liu, Chaoyou Fu, Yan Yang… · HF Mirror

To address the cross-modal hallucination problem in audio-visual reasoning of omni-modal LLMs, existing solutions that only intervene at the output layer fail to solve the entanglement defect between factual evidence and training priors in fused representations. This paper proposes the training-free framework Omni-Woodpecker: it first identifies cross-modal conflicts, orthogonally splits representations, and rebalances the weights of evidence and priors before decoding to suppress hallucinations. This framework has strong cross-architecture generalization, delivers stable performance improvements on multiple mainstream models and benchmarks, and its code is open-sourced.

Echo: Coupled Action and Task Status Signal Denoising for Vision Language Action Models

HF ★ 2 · Yufeng Liu, Bohao Fan, Juntu Zhao… · HF Mirror

Existing Vision-Language Action (VLA) models require fine-grained annotation and additional supporting modules to add task state prediction, and do not fully exploit the guiding value of state signals for action generation. To address this pain point, this paper proposes the Echo framework: it does not require frame-level progress annotation, jointly denoises two types of state signals (stop and failure) as action dimensions, constructs three types of trajectories to implement weak supervision, and allows state signals to be denoised faster to guide action generation. Real-world experiments show its state prediction is accurate, and strategy performance is stably improved.

Securing our frontier model training environment

OpenAI

This is OpenAI’s research on security protection for frontier LLM training environments, with two core control measures implemented: first, building a completely offline isolated environment for model training and evaluation, cutting off transmission channels for external penetration and risk leakage; second, allocating high-computing resources to carry out targeted red team adversarial testing, proactively identifying potential security vulnerabilities of the model. The whole set of solutions significantly strengthens the risk management capability of the entire frontier LLM R&D process, and builds a solid underlying barrier for the safe R&D of high-capability models.

Beyond tree cover: mapping the world’s forest types

Google DeepMind

This research breaks through the limitation of traditional research that only counts forest coverage. Taking 10-meter resolution as the minimum evaluation unit, it achieves the first fine-grained classification of forest types for global land plots, and produces a new global forest type distribution map. This achievement fills the gap of insufficient accuracy of previous global forest classification products, and can provide high-precision data support for carbon sink accounting, biodiversity protection, forestry management and control, and climate change response.

Accelerating the search for antimicrobial peptides with Google Antigravity

Harness Engineering for Self-Improvement

Lilian Weng

This article sorts out the conceptual context of Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI): in 1965, scholar Irving John Good first proposed the concept of “ultraintelligent machines” that can surpass all human intellectual activities and independently design better machines; in 2008, Eliezer Yudkowsky clarified that the core of RSI is the feedback loop where AI iteratively optimizes its own cognitive architecture relying on its existing intelligence. RSI in current AI scenarios includes both models directly rewriting their own weights, and can also broadly refer to models optimizing their own training processes.
