MT Forcing: Towards Stable and Consistent Multi-Turn Image Editing with Autoregressive Diffusion

HF ★ 27 · Houyuan Chen, Fanzhou Wang, Xiangyu Fan… · HF Mirror

To address the pain points of existing multi-turn image editing methods, such as image quality drift, accidental changes to reserved regions or historical edited content after only a few rounds, this paper proposes the MT Forcing training paradigm adapted to autoregressive diffusion-based unified multimodal models: it avoids recursive error accumulation through single-turn distribution matching distillation, and is paired with teacher forcing guidance regularization to ensure cross-turn consistency. Experiments verify that it can significantly improve the image quality stability and content coherence of multi-turn editing.

Self-Evolving Coding Agents via Harness-Policy Optimization

HF ★ 24 · Zhepei Wei, Wenlin Yao, Baolin Peng… · HF Mirror

To address the suboptimal performance of LLM coding agents when optimizing only the interaction control module or model policy separately, this paper proposes the Self-HPO self-evolution framework: it alternately executes the H step (the current policy independently analyzes defects and generates candidate control modules) and the P step (updates the policy via reinforcement learning based on the selected module). Experiments show that it outperforms single-module optimization baselines on three coding benchmarks, with the average resolution rate of Qwen 3.5-35B increasing by 7 percentage points, with improved generalization and reliability; access to more powerful external models can further boost efficiency.

ScaleNav: Scalable Internet Video Pretraining for Language-Conditioned Local Navigation

HF ★ 17 · Yihui Yang, Yuanhong Yu, Jiawei Wang… · HF Mirror

To address the pain points of high real-world data collection costs and the sim-to-real gap in simulation data for language-conditioned local robot navigation tasks, the team proposes the three-stage ScaleNav framework: first, use first-person internet videos for instruction-conditioned pretraining to learn goal-oriented visual dynamics, then align executable actions using simulation data with action labels, and finally perform joint fine-tuning. This method far outperforms baselines on two navigation benchmarks, and testing on real quadruped robots verifies its generalization ability in real-world scenarios.

RoAR-VAE: Improving Latent Diffusability through Robust Prediction

HF ★ 17 · Yang Yue, Fangyun Wei, Yitong Wang… · HF Mirror

This paper addresses the need for visual tokenizers to balance image fidelity and ease of learning for downstream diffusion models. Based on the robust prediction principle that “corrupted latent variables can recover generation-related information”, it proposes the RoAR-VAE tokenizer that integrates the dual objectives of robust semantic alignment and robust image reconstruction. With the same training budget, its generation performance exceeds the strongest baseline by 2.19 points, and small text reconstruction accuracy is 16.93 percentage points higher than FLUX.1-VAE, achieving a balance between the two types of performance.

OR-License: Evaluating LLM Agents as Real-World Operations Research Practitioners

HF ★ 15 · Peisong Wang, Feixue Liu, Yize Meng… · HF Mirror

To address the pain point that existing Operations Research (OR) benchmarks do not cover the full process from raw business materials to deployed solutions, this research launches OR-License, an end-to-end benchmark containing 10 types of industrial scenarios and 31 real paid OR projects with a total value of 3.68 million USD. Paired with the customer simulator ORSim, it uses the DAQ metric to measure the feasibility and quality of solutions. Tests on 11 cutting-edge LLMs show that the strongest model, Claude Code, only reaches 0.87 DAQ (the expert benchmark is 1), still has defects in problem transformation and deployment, and remains far from replacing human experts.

When is a large language model a good calibration agent? Physics-labeled prompting for budgeted engineering simulator calibration

Ruo-Qian Wang

To address the computing power constraint problem of high-cost engineering simulator calibration, this research proposes an LLM prompt calibration scheme with physical labeling. Tests found that LLMs improve calibration accuracy quickly in the early stage, but the advantage is not long-lasting and output volatility is high. Based on this, a hybrid workflow is designed: first use LLM for warm start, then switch to a traditional optimizer, which far outperforms baselines such as standalone LLMs and Bayesian optimization in calibration efficiency under limited computing power.

Trust but Verify: Designing Region-Inhomogeneous Forward Dynamics for Discrete Diffusion

Gunmay Jhingran

To address the problem that discrete text diffusion defaults to fully trusting context, which easily propagates errors, this paper designs region-inhomogeneous forward dynamics: use absorption kernels for missing positions, low-rate random replacement for context positions, and anneal and inject noise into suspicious context during inference. The 170M model only requires 5 hours of fine-tuning on a 6G laptop GPU, with a random dirty data detection recall of 0.96 and precision of 0.91, completion F1 score improved by up to 6.4, no degradation on clean inputs, and no significant improvement on near-distribution dirty data.

Binding-Specific Relearning Savings for Test-Time Continual Learning

Zhe Zhou

To address the problem that test-time continual learning is only evaluated by current output accuracy, which cannot reflect the impact of old experience on subsequent updates, this research sets up three groups of controlled experiments using Qwen2.5-1.5B as the test subject. It finds that models that have correctly learned fact bindings, even at the stage of partial forgetting, still have a relearning efficiency about 18% higher than control groups without relevant learning, proving that current behavioral accuracy will underestimate the retention effect of acquired experience.
